Cet air est traditionnellement chanté pour apprendre les codes de la versification (il s’agit de trouver la rime qui correspond à la voyelle annoncée U A E etc….) Le poète Carulu GIOVONNI l’a entendu chanter par des jeunes gens pendant les vendanges, dans la région d’Ajaccio.
The poet, Carlu Giovanni heard this refrain sung by young reapers during the wine harvestnear Ajaccio. It was traditionally sung to learn notions of verse and their transcription. Vowels are intoned and the other singers have to find a rhyme for each « u », « a », « e », etc… enouced in turn.
